## Title: Accountant
About the Role
Dovewell Oilfield Services Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in our financial management and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on budget management and analysis, and create financial forecasts
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues
- Monitor costs and expenditures against budgets and forecasts, and prepare variation reports
- Prepare cash flow statements and supporting schedules for management accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
- Develop key financial processes including budgeting, management, and financial accounting/reporting
- Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns, and assist with audit preparations
- Reconcile receivables and payables, and administer withholding tax (WHT)
- Perform general bookkeeping and weekly reporting of receivables
- Prepare and monitor budgets
- Manage banking activities including account opening and reconciliation
- Coordinate income and receipt monitoring, and maintain the fixed asset register and schedule
- Liaise with auditors and statutory bodies including state and federal tax authorities
- Prepare weekly and monthly accounting reports, as well as all monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax reports
- Ensure timely tax filings and payments
- Prepare and manage required documentation for internal and external audits
Requirements
- First degree in Accounting or related Management/Administration discipline
- ICAN or ACCA certification
- Minimum of 4 years of post-NYSC experience
