Accountant at Cove Real Estate & Construction

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsible Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensure compliance, and support the company with accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate must be analytical, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily and monthly financial records
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and petty cash
• Prepare payroll and ensure correct statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension)
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Support internal and external audits
• Manage procurement documentation and inventory records

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho) and strong Excel skills
• ICAN/ACCA certification (advantageous)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• High integrity and attention to detail

Salary

N150,000 per month
