## Title: Account Manager
About This Role

Key Responsibilities
Financial Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate daily records of sales, purchases, and expenses
- Record all transactions in accounting software or ledgers
Cash & Bank Management
- Reconcile daily cash collections with sales reports
- Deposit supermarket revenue into the bank
- Track and reconcile POS (Point of Sale) payments, bank transfers, and online payments
Inventory & Stock Accounting
- Work with storekeepers to track inventory levels and valuation
- Monitor stock shrinkage (loss, damage, theft)
- Assist in periodic stock-taking and ensure records tally with physical stock
Payroll & Staff Payments
- Prepare and process staff salaries and wages
- Deduct statutory payments (tax, pensions, etc.) and remit accordingly
Supplier & Vendor Payments
- Record supplier invoices and monitor due dates
- Prepare payment schedules for goods supplied
- Reconcile statements with vendors
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist management in preparing budgets
- Track actual expenses against budget
- Identify areas of waste or overspending
Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management
- Provide insights on sales trends, profit margins, and operating costs
- Assist in preparing final accounts (profit & loss, balance sheet)
Compliance & Internal Control
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
- Implement internal controls to safeguard supermarket cash and assets
- Support auditors during financial audits
Requirements
