Workshop Manager

About the Role - We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee truck maintenance and repairs, ensuring maximum fleet availability and minimal downtime. - The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience managing workshops within a haulage or transport operation. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily workshop operations, maintenance, and repairs of company trucks. - Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns. - Supervise mechanics and technicians and ensure the quality of repair work. - Monitor spare parts usage, maintenance costs, and downtime. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures. - Provide maintenance reports and recommendations to management. Requirements: - 5 – 8 years of experience in truck maintenance or workshop management. - Strong knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and haulage operations. - Proven ability to manage technicians and workshop activities. - Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning and cost control. - Ability to work under operational pressure and meet turnaround timelines. - Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks (engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems).
