Warehouse and Procurement Officer at Advantage Health Africa

Role Summary

The Warehouse and Procurement Officer will support end-to-end procurement and warehouse operations to ensure efficient, transparent, and compliant sourcing, storage, and distribution of goods and materials.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and warehouse best practices. The officer will ensure adherence to company policies, supplier standards, and Good Storage Practice (GSP) to maintain the integrity and availability of all inventory items.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for pharmaceuticals, consumables, and materials
• Process purchase orders in line with company procurement policies
• Ensure product quality, compliance, and accurate documentation with warehouse and finance teams
• Manage inventory by verifying quantities, batch numbers, and expiry dates of all stock
• Conduct monthly stock counts and maintain optimal stock levels through timely vendor orders
• Monitor product expiries and report to the Supply Chain Executive and Officer
• Maintain supplier records and assess vendor performance
• Uphold Good Storage Practice (GSP) and ensure efficient, compliant warehouse operations

Educational Qualification

• First degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the supply chain or procurement function within a pharmaceutical organization

Skills and Competencies

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/ERP systems
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to ethical standards
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
