Position Overview

The University Bursar serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the University and reports to the Vice-Chancellor. The role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the University's financial affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Controls
• Treasury Management, including relationships with financial institutions
• Financial Planning and Budgeting

Qualifications Required

• Good honours degree in Accounting or a related field
• Recognized professional accounting qualification
• Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in a university or comparable institution
• At least three (3) years of experience as Deputy Bursar in a university or as Financial Controller in a reputable organization
• Registered member of a recognized professional accounting body

Terms of Appointment
