About the Opportunity:
- We are seeking a professional who will be responsible for the planning of terminal operations, including the preparation and communication of the terminal berthing plan, developed in close coordination with barge operators. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively balance operational priorities, including vessel connections, deadlines, and required productivity levels, to ensure smooth and efficient terminal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of container terminal operations (yard, gate, and truck)
- Good understanding of yard planning & stacking strategies; gate operations and truck flow management; empty and laden container management
- Ability to analyse operational data, KPIs, and productivity metrics
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, SQL, Outlook, and reporting tools
Operational & Planning Skills
- Ability to create daily, weekly, and shift-based operational plans
- Strong coordination skills with Yard operations, Gate operations, Shipping lines and third-party operators
- Capacity to manage resource allocation (equipment, labour, yard space)
- Ability to anticipate bottlenecks and implement preventive planning measures
- Experience in contingency planning for equipment downtime, congestion, or system outages
Reporting & Documentation
- Ability to prepare and present Operational plans, Performance reports, Exception and Incident reports
- Clear documentation of planning assumptions and operational constraints

- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- Professional certification in Supply Chain, Port Operations, or Logistics is an added advantage
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in terminal operations, planning, or container logistics
- Prior experience working in a container terminal or depot environment preferred
