About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Technical Support & Web Hosting Administrator to manage and maintain our web hosting infrastructure while delivering top-tier technical support to clients.
You will oversee hosting services via DirectAdmin, handle domain and DNS management, manage SSL certificates, and ensure seamless email and website performance. This role blends hands-on system administration with excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain hosting accounts using DirectAdmin, including user setup, email configuration, performance monitoring, and server checks
- Provide technical support to clients by troubleshooting website, email, and DNS issues promptly
- Handle domain purchases, renewals, and configuration through registrars
- Administer DNS zones and records; troubleshoot DNS and SSL/TLS issues
- Manage SSL certificate lifecycle including issuance, installation, renewal, and troubleshooting
- Support client-specific tasks such as content uploads or email broadcasts
- Prepare and issue invoices for hosting and renewal services, track payments, and maintain accurate records
- Generate reports on hosting usage, renewals, and client activities
Required Qualifications
Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience: Basic to intermediate knowledge of web hosting, system administration, or technical support
Technical Skills
- DirectAdmin or cPanel management
- DNS and domain administration
- SSL/TLS management (Let's Encrypt, ACME automation)
- Email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and web server (Apache) configuration
- Basic Linux command-line skills (advantageous)
