Technical Engineer-Intern

About the Role

TIA Technologies Limited is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a Technical Engineer Intern to join our Lagos office. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, security systems, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and installing computer hardware configurations
• Support the design and installation of security systems including CCTV and access controls
• Install and troubleshoot software and networking systems
• Assist in ensuring projects are executed professionally within agreed delivery dates and budgets without incurring fault calls
• Perform maintenance and service of CCTV and access control systems
• Support fault call resolution on ongoing projects, responding with customer empathy and urgency
• Ensure all control measures and safety protocols provided on site are properly used and maintained
• Assist in maintaining computer security, backups, and other IT procedures as instructed
• Ensure all work tools are used properly, kept safe, and accounted for
• Respond to general IT requests
• Ensure security software is kept up to date
• Perform project work and produce reports as required
• Complete all other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

• OND or HND in Electrical Engineering
• 0–2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on IT Infrastructure

• Level 3 English Proficiency (speaking and writing)
• Electrical design and drafting skills
• Strong communication skills (email, messaging, phone, and verbal communication)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Report writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to work across different areas and project types
