## Title: Technical Assistant - Governance & Market Development

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join MOJEC/CLOU Meters Company in Lagos, Nigeria as a Technical Assistant specializing in Governance and Market Development.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management

  • Develop, monitor, and review project scopes for which the CEO is responsible
  • Develop scope of work for each project and liaise with the Engineering team to prepare supporting documentation before implementation
  • Identify gaps in the organization's rollout and implementation of key projects
  • Maintain up-to-date project and site documentation for document control purposes
  • Coordinate resource planning for project implementation

Governance & Compliance

  • Undertake tasks supporting the ongoing implementation of Governance policies and procedures applicable to ongoing projects
  • Review tender documents and scope of work, assess feasibility against qualification and financial criteria
  • Prepare presentations, risk matrices, and information for senior management to obtain approval for bidding
  • Provide due diligence support on each technical project and review project milestones against payment schedules periodically

Reporting & Communication

  • Perform reporting functions to Management, including weekly site reports
  • Manage communications with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) of the company's product manufacturers
  • Support the Business Development team with required technical information for developing product solutions aligned with client needs

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Energy Policy, Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's Degree in Energy Economics, Policy, Regulation, or MBA (preferred)

Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the electricity sector, regulatory affairs, policy development, or market operations
  • Strong understanding of electricity market design, tariff setting methodologies, and power procurement mechanisms
  • Experience working with government agencies, regulatory bodies, or multilateral energy organizations
  • Proficiency in data analysis, economic modeling, and policy analysis
