Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree (MSc) in health financing, health economics, health policy, global health, health systems management, public health, or a related field

Key Responsibilities

• Support Nigeria's health financing reform process by engaging in strategy and policy-level forums on health financing, including high-level dialogues
• Provide strategic advice on health financing topics in the context of grant development and implementation, including innovative financing solutions, sustainability, costing, benefit packages, regulatory and management aspects, public financial management, domestic resource mobilization, and social health protection
• Assess and identify financing options for the integration of HIV, TB, and Malaria into the health system, engaging relevant national partners based on in-depth knowledge of the stakeholder landscape
• Ensure identification, planning, and delivery of high-quality technical interventions to partner institutions through consultants, service contracts, or grants according to pre-defined programme criteria, promoting integrated and sustainable approaches to health financing
• Track developments of global financing mechanisms in the country, identify and pursue opportunities to improve alignment and harmonization at country level, and support relevant principles and agendas
• Engage in relevant networks and exchange platforms focused on aligning national health financing activities
• Coordinate and monitor programme activities within the framework of the global programme, including module offerings, results matrices, communications, and knowledge management
• Coordinate closely with bilateral health programmes in the country
