Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: - We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the inventory of food items, ingredients, packaging materials, and restaurant supplies. - The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate stock records to ensure a smooth flow of operations across the restaurant outlets. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies and materials. - Ensure proper storage and labelling of all items according to safety and hygiene standards. - Issue materials and ingredients to kitchen and restaurant staff based on requisitions. - Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management software. - Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with physical inventory. - Monitor stock levels and notify the Procurement Manager of low or critical items. - Ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. - Prevent spoilage, wastage, and theft by implementing effective stock control measures. - Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and audits. - Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation method is followed at all times. - Collaborate with the Procurement and Kitchen teams to ensure supply chain efficiency. Requirements: - Minimum of OND; additional training in storekeeping, inventory control, or logistics is an advantage. - 1-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry. - Knowledge of food safety and storage guidelines. - Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. - Basic math and record-keeping skills. - Ability to operate inventory management systems and basic computer tools (e.g., Excel). - Honest, trustworthy, and dependable. - Physical stamina for lifting and moving stock as needed - Ability to operate inventory management systems and basic computer tools (e.g., Excel). - Honest, trustworthy, and dependable. - Physical stamina for lifting and moving stock as needed.
