Job description
An established company is recruiting for the following position.
Position Overview:
- The Store Officer will be responsible for managing raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods in the store.
- The role requires accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and coordination with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly record all incoming materials (raw materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables).
- Issue materials to production and other departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory systems and manual stock cards.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare reorder reports to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of iron, steel products, and heavy materials.
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, and monthly) and reconcile variances.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store in line with HSE standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Prepare inventory reports and submit them to management as required.
- Prevent loss, damage, or theft of materials within the store.
Requirements:
& Qualifications
- Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years experience as a Store Officer or Storekeeper in a manufacturing company, preferably iron and steel or heavy industry.
