Stock Keeper at Gree Iloson Merchandise Nigeria Limited

Position Overview

We are expanding our dynamic team and seeking a Stock Keeper (also called Storekeeper or Inventory Clerk) to join our organization. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials, supplies, and products within our warehouse or storage facility.

This role ensures accurate inventory levels, proper organization of stock, and smooth flow of goods in and out of the store.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Inspection

• Receive incoming stock, materials, and supplies
• Check deliveries for accuracy in quantity, quality, and condition
• Verify delivery documents such as invoices, packing lists, or purchase orders
• Report damaged or missing items to supervisors

Storage and Organization

• Properly label and store items in designated locations
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe storage area
• Ensure items are stored according to company policies (e.g., FIFO, safety guidelines)

Inventory Management

• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic audits
• Update inventory records accurately using manual logs or inventory software
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or slow-moving items

Issuing and Dispatch

• Prepare and issue stock to departments based on authorized requests
• Pack and dispatch outgoing items following proper procedures
• Prepare documentation for issuing and transferring stock

Record Keeping

• Maintain up-to-date stock records and documentation
• Ensure accuracy in data entry for goods received, issued, or returned
• Generate inventory reports when required

Safety and Compliance

• Follow safety procedures when handling materials and equipment
• Comply with company policies and warehouse regulations
• Use handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely (if trained)

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in warehouse, storekeeping, or inventory roles (preferred)
• Good organizational skills
