Stock Accountant

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. - We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Stock Accountant to manage, track, and reconcile inventory-related financial records. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock valuation, monitor inventory movement, and support management with reliable financial insights for decision-making. Education: al Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline. Work Experience - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stock/inventory accounting, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or warehouse operations. - Proven experience in inventory reconciliation, stock valuation, and cost control Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of inventory management and accounting principles. - Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Sage) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to prepare stock reports, variance analysis, and audit schedules. Core Competencies - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams (warehouse, procurement, production). - Good communication and reporting skills. - High level of integrity and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: Awareness - Monitoring and reconciling physical stock vs system records. - Conducting periodic stock counts and resolving discrepancies. - Ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. - Supporting month-end and year-end closing related to inventory.
