## Title: State Manager at Kaplo Africa

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The State Manager will implement the sales strategy within the state environment to ensure that state acquisition and repayment targets are achieved. You will manage and lead the territory team towards sales, inventory management, and repayment goals. The role involves people management, capability development, and driving Lumos Nigeria's growth aspirations by offering clean, affordable solar power to potential customers in Nigeria who live within and off the electricity grid areas.

Job Purpose

  • Implement the sales strategy within the state environment to ensure state acquisition and repayment targets are achieved
  • Manage and lead the territory team towards sales, inventory management, and repayment targets within the state
  • Ensure people management and capability development of the team
  • Ensure end-to-end management of the sales cycle from initial contact through installation and app usage
  • Drive timely delivery of business targets whilst ensuring team members understand their specific role in achieving bottom-line results
  • Drive Lumos Nigeria's growth aspirations in the renewable energy sector

Key Accountabilities

  • Increase sales revenue by coordinating state sales activities and ensuring synergy with other departmental activities; contribute to developing and executing the state business plan
  • Implement sales goals and communicate them to Territory Managers and relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit sales reports to VP Community Business
  • Monitor sales figures against set targets on a daily and monthly basis and provide recommendations for necessary actions
  • Conduct state sales promotion activities within the assigned budget
  • Review sales operations in the state to ensure operational objectives are accomplished, identify trends, provide input into sales forecasting, and maintain optimum service levels
  • Attend sales team meetings periodically to communicate product strategies, upcoming objectives, and exchange ideas on supporting partners in achieving their targets
  • Ensure prompt payment collection from customers and take necessary actions to minimize bad debts
