Spray Painting and Finishing Supervisor

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Beveledge Interior Designs in Lagos, Nigeria. This role reports to the Factory Manager / Production Manager and supervises Spray Painters, Polishers, and Finishers.

Job Purpose

To ensure all furniture finishing (painting, polishing, staining) meets color accuracy, surface smoothness, and durability standards without defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise preparation, priming, sanding, spraying, and polishing operations
• Ensure correct paint mixing ratios and approved color codes are followed
• Monitor drying times and environmental conditions
• Inspect surfaces for runs, bubbles, uneven coats, or stains
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and PPE compliance across the team
• Reduce repainting and material waste
• Approve finished items before final QC or packaging
• Maintain spray equipment and finishing tools

• Finish defect rate
• Paint and chemical consumption vs standard
• Rework frequency
• Turnaround time per item
• Safety compliance score

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years spray painting and finishing experience
• Strong color matching and surface preparation knowledge
• Safety-conscious and process-driven approach
