Job description

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Position Overview: - The Automotive Spray Painter is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces and applying paint finishes to Trucks, cars,escavators, buldozers etc. - The role requires precision, color-matching skills, and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations to deliver high-quality automotive finishes. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare vehicle surfaces by washing, sanding, masking, filling, and priming - Inspect vehicles for damage or imperfections prior to painting - Mix and match automotive paints according to color codes and specifications - Apply base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using spray equipment - Operate spray booths and ensure proper booth conditions - Monitor paint thickness, texture, and finish quality - Identify and correct defects such as runs, orange peel, fisheyes, or color mismatch - Perform polishing and final touch-ups as required - Clean and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and tools - Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations - Maintain accurate job records and material usage logs Academic Requirements - OND, SSCE - Trade Test 1,2,3 Years of Experience: - A minimum of 7 years of experience in an automotive setup will be an added advantage Skills: and Qualifications: - Proven experience as an automotive spray painter - Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems and colour-matching techniques - Ability to operate HVLP and air spray painting equipment - Excellent attention to detail and quality control - Understanding of vehicle body repair and refinishing processes - Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements - Ability to work efficiently under time and production deadlines.
