Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coordinator who can also teach Physical & Health Education (PHE). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing the school’s sports programmes and growing a vibrant Sports Academy for both male and female students across multiple sporting disciplines.
- Coordinate and oversee all school sports activities and competitions
- Teach Physical & Health Education (PHE) across assigned classes
- Develop and manage the school Sports Academy, including:
- Football
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Table Tennis
- Badminton
- Other indoor and outdoor sports
- Design structured training programmes for male and female students
- Identify, train, and nurture talented student-athletes
- Prepare teams for inter-school, state, and national competitions
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of sports facilities and equipment
- Organise sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular sports activities
- Maintain discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork among students
- Keep accurate records of students’ performance and participation
- Work closely with school management to promote sports development and visibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical & Health Education, Sports Science, Human Kinetics, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
- Relevant coaching certifications in football, basketball, volleyball, or other sports (added advantage)
- Strong knowledge of rules, techniques, and training methods across multiple sports
- Ability to teach PHE effectively at secondary school level
- Minimum of 5–8 years proven experience as a Sports Coordinator, Sports Coach, or PHE Teacher in a reputable school or sports academy
- Demonstrated experience in developing school sports programmes and competitive teams
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and talent-development abilities
- Ability to manage multiple sports programmes simultaneously
- Passion for youth development and sports excellence
- High level of discipline, integrity, and professionalism
