## Title: Sous Chef – Continental Cuisine

Position Overview

EKO Hotels & Suites is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations. The successful candidate will ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service while demonstrating strong leadership and broad expertise in continental cuisines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and food production
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, assign duties, and ensure smooth workflow during service
  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Support menu planning, costing, and inventory control
  • Step in for the Head Chef when required and ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations
  • Train, coach, and motivate kitchen team members to maintain high performance

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant
  • Strong background in continental cuisines
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
  • Relevant culinary qualification or professional certification (preferred)
