Position Overview: - The Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions. - The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to clinical, ethical, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, pelvic, vascular, small parts, and musculoskeletal as applicable). - Accurately prepare patients for procedures by explaining examinations and ensuring comfort and privacy. - Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality images. - Analyze images and identify abnormalities for review by the radiologist or referring physician. - Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and archiving of images and findings. - Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues promptly. - Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient confidentiality standards. - Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians,and other healthcare staff. - Comply with professional, ethical, and regulatory guidelines. - Participate in continuous professional development and training activities. Required Qualifications: & Requirements - Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. - Professional certification / licensure from a recognized regulatory body (where applicable). - Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical or diagnostic setting (preferred). - Proficiency in performing a range of ultrasound examinations. - Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound physics. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
