Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and maintain PHP-based applications supporting loan origination, disbursement, repayment, and reporting processes - Develop and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and stored procedures to ensure data accuracy, performance, and integrity - Collaborate with operations and business teams to translate lending requirements into technical solutions - Troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime - Enhance existing systems with innovative features that improve efficiency, automation, and user experience - Implement and maintain security best practices, including data protection, access control, and audit trails - Integrate third-party APIs. - Document system designs, processes, and changes clearly for internal use - Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers or support staff when required REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience developing applications using PHP - Strong proficiency in MySQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning - Solid understanding of web application architecture and backend development - Experience building or supporting financial, lending, or transactional systems is an advantage - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with a problem-solving mindset - Ability to propose innovative technical solutions to business challenges - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations - Knowledge of version control systems. - Understanding of application security principles
