About the Role

An established microfinance institution is recruiting for a SME Loan Officer position to join their team in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process loan applications from SME clients
• Conduct credit assessments and risk analyses
• Manage a portfolio of SME loans, ensuring timely repayments and minimizing defaults
• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients
• Meet sales targets and contribute to team goals
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery

Required Qualifications

• Minimum HND or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years proven experience in SME lending or related field
• Strong understanding of credit principles and risk management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
