Senior Supply Chain Executive (Procurement & Logistics)

About the Role

This vacancy presents an opportunity to join a leading organization in a strategic supply chain position. The overall purpose of this role is to ensure the procurement of the right items from appropriate international sources at optimal prices, delivered in the right quality, quantity, and on time to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Supply Chain
• Implement Supply Chain processes to meet company objectives
• Work within established Supply Chain procedures for requisition, processing, validation, delivery, and invoicing
• Coordinate all Supply Chain activities effectively
• Drive Line Pipes and OCTG sourcing and management
• Build and maintain an effective database for tracking OEMs, pipes, OEM-accredited distributors, stockists, and equipment suppliers
• Provide guidance and support on major tenders and service contracts
• Maintain effective and cooperative relationships with relevant government regulatory agencies
• Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies to improve competitive edge
• Establish and manage databases of approved customs clearing agents and trucking companies
• Oversee timely clearing of goods at Nigerian ports
• Ensure goods are delivered on time within agreed pricing and fit for customer requirements
• Achieve agreed RFQ conversion to POs
• Process POs to agreed scope
• Maintain comprehensive filing systems and ensure confidentiality and security of documents
• Manage all staff in the Supply Chain Department
• Train and develop team members to close identified process gaps
• Oversee procurement market research
• Drive continuous Supply Chain improvement initiatives
• Develop and manage relationships with suppliers locally and internationally
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
