An established company is recruiting for a Senior PHP Backend Developer to design, implement, and optimize scalable backend systems within a fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable PHP-based backend systems
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to create cohesive and high-performance web applications
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with third-party services

Code Quality and Performance

• Ensure high code quality through testing, peer reviews, and maintaining clean architecture
• Optimize backend systems for speed, scalability, and reliability

Database Design and Optimization

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient database structures for high-performance data handling
• Write optimized SQL queries and ensure data security and integrity

Security and Compliance

• Follow best practices for data security, including encryption and secure access controls
• Ensure systems meet fintech regulatory standards, including data protection and privacy laws

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and launch new features
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on scalable systems in fintech or tech industries
• Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, version control (Git), and modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
• Knowledge of security best practices in fintech
