Senior NLP and AI Engineer at Vennote Technologies Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior NLP and AI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge techniques spanning linguistic rules, transformers, and deep neural networks to develop innovative natural language processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage a wide range of techniques from linguistic rules to transformers and deep neural networks in day-to-day work
• Gather and clean relevant datasets for training chatbots and NLP models
• Create predefined templates to structure responses based on identified intents and entities
• Use statistical models to generate natural and diverse responses
• Extract meaningful features from text data, such as n-grams, part-of-speech tags, and named entities
• Build models to identify user intent and purpose behind queries
• Research, experiment with, and implement innovative approaches to named entity recognition, relationship extraction, entity linking, and classification
• Work with customer-provided data to evaluate and continuously iterate on NLP solutions
• Produce performant, production-quality, robust code following best practices adopted by the product team
• Improve existing NLP solutions in terms of performance, accuracy, and efficiency
• Apply agile product mentality by balancing solutions that deliver high precision/recall with simpler approaches that provide customer value in shorter intervals
• Get involved in all stages of the ML lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or similar field
• More than 7 years of experience as an NLP or AI Engineer
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning Frameworks (PyTorch preferred, Keras optional)
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Strong work ethic with focus on task completion and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with chatbots or voice bots
• Knowledge of low-code frameworks
• Experience with Application Containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Experience with web frameworks for building APIs in Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Sanic)
