About The Role

The Wood Factory Limited seeks a dedicated Senior Interior Designer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This position offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives and manage junior design staff while delivering exceptional furniture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to take exact measurements for layouts and furniture production
• Design and digitalize furniture library with detailed drawings (wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, doors)
• Create and execute floor plans and elevations
• Produce cutting lists and manage production documentation
• Participate in the furniture design process with strong design and strategic thinking
• Conceptualize and communicate design direction to clients and team members
• Lead and mentor a team of junior designers

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Max, and 2D software
• Expert knowledge of Palette CAD
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills for cutting lists and data management
• Strong design conceptualization and communication abilities

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position with a furniture company
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven capability to lead and develop junior design team members
• Willingness to travel throughout Nigeria
• Responsible and professional attitude
