Job Summary

United Nigeria Airlines is seeking a Senior Aviation Security (AVSEC) Coordinator to support the Chief Security Officer in protecting and enhancing the airline's operational security. This role is essential in ensuring safe and secure flight operations while maintaining compliance with all mandatory aviation security procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Security Officer with the initiation and development of all policies relating to the AVSEC Department
• Ensure United Nigeria Airlines flight operations maintain the highest standards of safety and security while complying with mandatory and recommended operating procedures
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all aspects of UNA AVSEC manuals across all phases of daily operations
• Assist in establishing, monitoring, and measuring security efficiency, safety, and training standards
• Implement aviation preventive security measures and best practices
• Coordinate and implement site and operations security plans to protect executives, managers, employees, physical assets, and information assets
• Conduct personnel clearances, process special access requests, and manage personnel clearance actions
• Develop, implement, and manage background checks for potential employees, vendors, subcontractors, and clients
• Initiate or support investigations of potential or actual company security violations or breaches
• Coordinate and schedule deployment of quality control security teams to ensure maximum coverage of all approved scheduled programs
• Meet with subordinates to outline tasks, responsibilities, and performance expectations
• Conduct yearly security audits of company assets and infrastructure
• Conduct residential threat and risk assessments for all UNA residences
• Conduct pre-employment and yearly staff security assessments
