Senior Accountant at JMG

About the Role

An established company is recruiting a meticulous and analytically driven Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.

The ideal candidate will go beyond basic bookkeeping to provide meaningful insights into project profitability, inventory management, and cost control. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Letters of Credit (LC) and related bank charges efficiently
• Perform accurate data entry for all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, bank transactions, and debtors
• Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation statements for suppliers, banks, and customer accounts
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all financial data is properly recorded and verified
• Coordinate with banks and internal departments for payment processing, document verification, and issue resolution
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in audit preparation
• Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for reporting, analysis, and financial tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in finance operations, LC handling, bank reconciliation, and payables
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) – mandatory
