Senior Accountant

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - We are looking for a versatile Financial Accountant that will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies. - The role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, managing budgets, strong tax & statutory background, providing insights that support decision-making and business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with tax regulations, and other statutory requirements. - Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders. - Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning. - Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections. - Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business initiatives. - Assist in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting - Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure reconciliations are accurate and up to date. - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring proper controls and accuracy. - Monitor cash flow, banking, and treasury operations. - Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Required Qualifications: and Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Accountancy. - Professional accounting certification (ACCA, ICAN, etc.) preferred. - Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, minimum 5years in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. - Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage etc). - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. What We Offer - An attractive and competitive salary: (N500,000 - N700,000 monthly) commensuration.
