About the Organization
New Foundation for Displaced Persons (NFDP) is seeking a dedicated Security Assistant to join its team.
Position Details
Duration: 5 months
Location: Dikwa/Mafa, Borno State (Roving)
Base: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
The Security Assistant will be responsible for preparing all required documentation and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as well as managing all administrative work for the Security Department. The Assistant must report to line managers and the Security Advisor on all matters regarding staff and asset security.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect all NFDP program-required documents for submission to supervisor and obtain necessary pass authorizations, including daily staff field visits, training/workshop attendance, and travel permits
- Undertake security-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor
- Complete all administrative work related to security and archive all security documentation for staff
- Manage and ensure all staff movements are safe and properly cleared
- Report any incidents immediately using the incident management report system
- Supervise and train team members (Security Guards and Drivers) and enforce Standard Operating Procedures
- Handle security equipment inventory for main office, warehouse, and security office assets; ensure all devices are accounted for
- Monitor daily activities, prepare schedules, and write reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Maintain order during emergency situations such as fires and direct people to exit points
- Conduct security drills as required
- Support investigations and prepare related reports
- Travel to assigned locations as directed by supervisor
- Perform additional related tasks as requested by supervisor
