Job Summary

HRLeverage Africa is recruiting a Sea Logistics/Import and Export Officer on behalf of our client in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing import and export activities, ensuring compliance with customs processes, and coordinating sea logistics operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sea freight operations, ensuring efficient handling of import and export shipments
• Prepare and process import/export documentation in compliance with customs regulations
• Liaise with shipping lines, customs agents, and relevant authorities to ensure timely cargo clearance
• Monitor and track shipment status, providing updates to clients and internal teams
• Maintain accurate shipment and documentation records
• Resolve operational challenges related to freight forwarding and customs processes
• Ensure compliance with all Free Trade Zone and international trade regulations
• Support overall logistics and supply chain operations as required

Requirements

• OND/HND in Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a similar import/export or logistics role
• Strong knowledge of customs processes and sea freight operations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and customs process software
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment
