Scrap Recycling Supervisor

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. Position Overview: - As a Scrap Recycling Supervisor, you will oversee the sorting and inspection of aluminium scrap in the recycling yard. You will lead a team to enforce strict quality standards, prevent malpractice, and protect the company from losses. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise daily scrap recycling and sorting operations. - Inspect incoming scrap loads to detect and remove rejects (iron, contaminants, etc.). - Monitor weighbridge activity to ensure rejects are not passed off as usable scrap. - Lead, train, and discipline sorting staff to follow proper recycling procedures. - Keep accurate records of accepted and rejected scrap. - Report irregularities or suspected malpractice to management immediately. - Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in the scrap yard. Requirements: - Minimum of HND in any discipline. - At least 2 years’ supervisory or factory experience (manufacturing, recycling, or FMCG preferred). - High integrity and zero tolerance for dishonesty. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies in materials. - Good leadership, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
