Job description
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc).
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
- Notify Line Manager of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
- Adjust minor repairs.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms.
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and ensure that soap and paper dispensers are well-stocked.
- Cleaning spills, broken glass and other messes up as quickly as possible.
- Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed.
Person Specification
- Capable of following instructions and learn new techniques.
- Strong time management skills to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift.
- Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part ofa team.
- Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (WAEC, NECO, CCE).
- At least 1-2 years of experience in janitorial or sanitation services, preferably in a corporate or media environment.
- Experience working in a shift-based or 24/7 operational setting is highly desirable.
