- We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in field sales, distribution management, and inventory control within the FMCG sector. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring efficient product distribution across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive field sales activities across assigned territories to achieve volume, value, and distribution targets.
- Manage and grow distributor and sub-distributor networks, ensuring effective route-to-market execution.
- Ensure optimal product availability and visibility across key retail outlets and channels.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and replenishment at distributor and market levels to prevent stock-outs or expiries.
- Execute trade promotions, market activations, and in-market sales initiatives.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate field sales representatives and merchandisers.
- Conduct regular market visits to gather competitive intelligence and identify growth opportunities.
- Track daily sales performance, outlet coverage, and stock movement, and submit field reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in FMCG sales, with proven experience in field sales, distribution, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated experience managing distributors, wholesalers, and retail channels.
- Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies and sales territory management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools; ERP or CRM experience is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and market intelligence skills.
- Willingness to work extensively in the field and meet aggressive sales targets.
