About the Role
- We are looking for a dynamic and resultsdriven Sales Executive – Wholesale & Open Market to lead product sales, distribution, and visibility across key wholesale and open markets in Benue States (especially Gboko).
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in beverage sales, deep knowledge of openmarket operations, and an established network of wholesalers, distributors, and retailers within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve assigned volume, revenue, and growth targets in Kogi and Benue States.
- Build and sustain strong business relationships with major wholesalers, distributors, and openmarket retailers.
- Ensure consistent product visibility, availability, and market share growth across assigned territories.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within the wholesale and open market channels.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and trade deals to optimize profitability.
- Monitor and analyze competitors’ activities, pricing, and market trends to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Drive brand activation and promotional campaigns within the markets to boost product awareness and sales.
- Maintain accurate records of sales performance, customer feedback, and market intelligence reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in wholesale or openmarket sales, preferably in the beverage industry.
- Strong existing network within Kogi and Benue open markets, especially Gboko and other key trade locations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and sales drivers in the beverage sector.
- Targetoriented, selfmotivated, and able to thrive with minimal supervision.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Benue State.
- Proficiency in reporting, market analysis, and trade relationship management.
