Position Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Calabar, offering a great opportunity for career growth. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, conducting safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with occupational health standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety policies across the organization
• Conduct safety assessments and workplace hazard evaluations
• Investigate accidents and create actionable reports
• Devise and implement safety protocols and preventive measures
• Design and conduct safety training sessions
• Coordinate security measures to maintain a safe working environment
• Manage journey safety and logistics safety concerns

Required Qualifications

• NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree
• At least one safety professional certification
• Minimum 4 years of safety experience
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in Occupational Health and workplace hazard assessment
• Proven experience in accident investigation and report writing
• Skills in security management and implementation of preventive measures
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a safety-related role
• Experience in journey management and logistics safety
