Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Job Profile - Suacasa Nigeria Limited, a leading real estate development company, is seeking a competent and proactive Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across its construction sites - The ideal candidate will ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize workplace risks. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor site safety policies and procedures. - Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments. - Identify hazards and enforce corrective measures. - Lead safety inductions, drills, and toolbox talks. - Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports. - Maintain safety documentation and compliance records. - Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. - Promote continuous safety awareness on all project sites. Required Qualifications: - B.Sc / HND in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines - NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other recognized safety certification is required. - Professional membership with relevant safety bodies is an added advantage. Years of Experience: - Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in construction health and safety management. Core Competencies: - Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations. - Risk assessment and hazard identification expertise. - Incident investigation and reporting skills. - Safety training and team engagement ability. - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Leadership and communication skills.
