Road Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: - We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Road Engineer to plan, design, supervise, and maintain road construction and rehabilitation projects. - The successful candidate will ensure that all road works are executed in line with approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Plan, design, and supervise road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance works. - Interpret and implement approved road designs, drawings, and specifications. - Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship. - Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel. - Ensure proper earthworks, drainage, pavement layers, and asphalt/concrete works. - Monitor project schedules, costs, and resource utilization. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Prepare progress reports, site records, and technical documentation. - Liaise with surveyors, project managers, consultants, and government agencies. - Identify construction challenges and recommend practical engineering solutions. Requirements: & Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field. - 7–17 years of experience in road construction and infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of road design, pavement structures, drainage systems, and construction methods. - Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications. - Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards. - Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Added Advantage: - Professional certification or registration (e.g., COREN, NSE). - Experience working on highways, estate roads, or urban road networks. - Knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and soil stabilization techniques. Salary & Benefits - Salary: N300,000 - N500,000 / month. - Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) - Project and site allowances.
