Rig Supervisor III at Scruples Resources

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Rig Supervisor III. You will represent the company on a rig site to support the safe and efficient execution of well plans. As the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel, you will ensure that logistics for personnel, equipment, and services are appropriately organized and managed.

Main Responsibilities

• Represent the company on rig site and serve as the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel
• Communicate expectations regarding safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE); provide guidance and support in managing SSHE events
• Communicate operational systems expectations on the rig site
• Monitor rig operations and provide feedback to the rig contractor to ensure well control procedures are properly followed and emergency situations are appropriately managed
• Ensure that safety, operational, environmental, security, and other drills are conducted on site at specified frequencies
• Ensure drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved; utilize management of change processes when modifications are required
• Order and organize logistics for services and equipment necessary to conduct drilling and completion operations efficiently
• Support onsite surveillance requirements in areas such as kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag analysis, mud properties, and solids control efficiency
• Generate accurate and adequate operations reports
• Interface with engineering and geology teams to ensure understanding of well objectives and procedural requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles for drilling and completion operations
• Experience working for a major operator or drilling contractor
• Current certification for Well Control
