Restaurant Facility Management Lead

About the Role

Firewood Rice Nigeria is seeking a qualified Restaurant Facility Management Lead to oversee all facility operations and maintenance at our Lagos location. This role is central to ensuring smooth daily operations, regulatory compliance, and optimal facility performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all restaurant equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and kitchen appliances
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant premises to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely resolution
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations
• Maintain updated records of equipment warranties, service logs, and replacement schedules
• Source, evaluate, and manage service providers including cleaning, pest control, security, HVAC technicians, electricians, and plumbers
• Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed service-level standards
• Ensure the restaurant complies with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Implement and maintain fire safety, emergency response, and security measures in accordance with company policies
• Train and sensitize staff on safety protocols, hazard reporting, and proper equipment use
• Prepare and manage the facility management budget for optimal resource allocation
• Monitor utility consumption (water, electricity, gas) and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Track expenses for repairs, maintenance, and capital expenditures, providing periodic reports to management
• Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and ensure quick resolution
• Provide technical support during restaurant expansions, refurbishments, or new outlet setups
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure facility readiness for smooth daily business operations

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in facility management, maintenance engineering, or related field
• Must reside in or near the Lekki area of Lagos
