Position Overview:
LECC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper (OND Qualified) to manage daily financial records, maintain accurate bookkeeping data, and support the finance department in ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal financial policies. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, trustworthy, and experienced in basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain up-to-date ledgers
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain petty cash records and expense tracking
- Prepare basic financial reports (weekly and monthly summaries)
- Support payroll documentation and statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, etc.)
- Maintain digital and physical filing of financial documents
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal financial policies
- Assist in audit preparation and financial reviews
- Communicate financial updates to management as required
Required Qualifications:
& Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Competencies
- Experience in healthcare financial operations
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax and pension remittance processes
- Basic understanding of financial compliance standards
Working Conditions
