## Title: Regional Sales Manager - South-South Region
About the Role
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales operations within the South-South region of Nigeria. This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in sales strategy, market development, team leadership, and distributor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed company sales targets
- Lead, motivate, and manage the regional sales team to deliver on objectives, ensuring capability development and high performance
- Identify and expand business opportunities by building strong relationships with distributors, key accounts, and trade partners
- Monitor, analyze, and report on regional sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities
- Oversee effective distribution, merchandising, and market penetration strategies across all sales channels
- Ensure proper territory coverage, route-to-market execution, and adherence to sales processes
- Drive promotional and trade marketing initiatives within the region in collaboration with the marketing team
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and business ethics
- Provide leadership in resolving market challenges, customer complaints, and operational issues within the region
- Support succession planning by coaching and developing regional sales talent
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage)
- Minimum of 10 years' progressive sales experience in FMCG or related industries
- At least 3 years' proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or equivalent role
- Strong knowledge of the South-South Nigeria market with established relationships
