## Title: Receptionist

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Receptionist ensures the highest level of guest service and standards are achieved while acting as a problem solver in a professional and calm manner.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Check-in and Check-out

  • Check guests in and out of the hotel in a courteous and pleasant manner
  • Use appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests
  • Prepare documents and keys required for registration
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Provide information pertaining to available services and facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions

Guest Services

  • Assist with individual needs and requests of all guests
  • Respond to guest needs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain guest confidentiality at all times
  • Conduct yourself in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters
  • Greet every guest upon arrival

Guest Reservations

  • Make, confirm, cancel, and change reservations
  • Use proper telephone and reservation etiquette, including describing the hotel and providing accurate rate quotations
  • Promptly and courteously respond to telephone calls and text messages, directing inquiries as appropriate
  • Make reservations for services and facilities as needed
  • Provide detailed information about points of interest and hotel facilities
