## Title: Quantity Surveyor
Main Function
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing and controlling the costs and contracts associated with construction projects, ensuring completion within budget and to required quality standards. This includes preparing and analyzing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and contracts, as well as monitoring and reporting on project costs and progress.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, bills of quantities, and contracts for construction projects
- Monitor and report on project costs and progress, identifying areas of cost savings and potential risks
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Review and analyze contractor claims and negotiate settlements
- Prepare and present reports on project costs and progress to clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office packages
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with numbers and financial data
- Project management skills
- Documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience and Qualifications
