About the Role
AXA OneHealth is seeking a highly skilled Quality Officer to join our team in Lagos. This role is critical in driving our commitment to excellence, ensuring that our healthcare services consistently meet top-quality standards, and fostering a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.
The ideal candidate will lead our performance management and quality improvement efforts using a data-driven approach, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and continuous operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor compliance with hospital-wide policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Develop, implement, and manage the hospital's Quality Management & Improvement System
- Lead regular quality review meetings, analyze performance data, and drive improvement initiatives
- Support the adoption of international healthcare quality standards (e.g., JCI)
- Coordinate variance/incident reporting and ensure thorough investigation and follow-up actions
- Build quality improvement capacity across teams through training and continuous engagement
- Provide regular reports on performance, quality trends, and improvement outcomes
- Train and certify in-house quality improvement champions
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or related medical field
- Master's degree in Hospital Quality, MBA (Quality Management), or related specialization
- Certification as a Healthcare Quality Professional
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Management in a hospital or healthcare organization
- At least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Experience with accreditation processes (governmental or private) preferred
- Knowledge of JCI standards is an added advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of QA techniques: audits, inspections, testing, SPC, RCA, etc.
- Ability to analyze and interpret quality-related data
