Quality Check Officer at Ascentech Services Limited

Position Overview

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a qualified Quality Check Officer to inspect, monitor, and ensure that all rice products meet company quality standards from raw material to final packaging. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to travel between company locations in Lagos and Port Harcourt as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of rice production and packaging lines to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Test and analyze rice samples for moisture content, impurities, and grain uniformity
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (NAFDAC, SON, and other relevant standards)
• Identify and report any deviation from quality specifications and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare periodic quality assurance reports
• Work closely with production supervisors to ensure continuous improvement in product quality
• Monitor storage and handling processes to prevent contamination or spoilage
• Support internal and external quality audits
• Travel between Lagos and Port Harcourt to conduct quality checks at various operational sites

Required Qualifications

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in food or rice processing industry
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and food safety management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel frequently between Lagos and Port Harcourt

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (occasional weekend work as needed)
• Location: Port Harcourt with regular field travel between Lagos and Port Harcourt
• Salary: ₦150,000 Gross Monthly
