About the Role

As a Qualified Accountant, reporting to the General Manager (Finance and Accounts), you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company's financial records and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) across countries of operation
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local standards in countries of operation
• Manage the general ledger and ensure its accuracy
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance across countries of operation
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls across countries of operation
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records across countries of operation
• Prepare and analyze group budgets and forecasts
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities in countries of operation
• Develop, mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is advantageous)
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is mandatory
• Maximum of 8 years of progressive accounting training and experience, preferably from global big four accounting firms, a Free Zone environment, or similar industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
