## Title: Qualified Accountant

About the Role

As a Qualified Accountant reporting to the General Manager (Finance and Accounts), you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company's financial records and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements across countries of operation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS) and local standards across countries of operation
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure its accuracy
  • Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance across countries of operation
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls across countries of operation
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records across countries of operation
  • Prepare and analyze group budgets and forecasts
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities across countries of operation
  • Develop, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is advantageous)
  • Professional accounting certification mandatory (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Maximum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably from global big four accounting firms, a Free Zone environment, or similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
