QA Engineer / QA Analyst at Payment Access System Limited (PaySys)

Job Summary

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of fintech products and platforms. This includes mobile apps, web portals, POS systems, payment APIs, wallet applications, and digital banking platforms. The QA professional designs and executes test plans, identifies defects, and works with engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and user-friendly products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, API, and backend systems
• Conduct manual and automated testing across all fintech products and features
• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Implement and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, or similar
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with automated testing
• Track and report automated test results, failures, and defect trends
• Identify, log, and track software defects in collaboration with developers and product teams
• Verify defect resolution and perform regression testing to ensure fixes are effective
• Maintain detailed QA documentation including test results, defect reports, and test metrics
• Conduct load, stress, and performance testing for critical fintech systems
• Support security testing for vulnerabilities, encryption, authentication, and transaction integrity
• Ensure applications meet regulatory compliance standards (CBN, PCI-DSS, NDPR, KYC/AML guidelines)
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
• Provide actionable feedback to improve product functionality, usability, and stability
• Identify QA process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance product quality
